Not worth it...

We visit the outer cape every September and this year we stayed at this Truro property. The instructions to pick up the key were clear with little incident. The rental is very large with only one master bedroom upstairs and 6 beds downstairs on the basement level, which smelled badly of mold. I have an asthmatic reaction to mold so I called the real estate contact who was responsive. There was a dehumidifier available onsite, but it didn’t solve an entire summer(s) of humidity. We had to close off all but one bedroom using the dehumidifier which made the space a little too warm for sleeping. Also the downstairs bathroom was in need of tile repair and smelled of urine. Outside of all that, the space is large with a stocked kitchen and many decks. We would not return to this spot for the reasons above. Not worth the high price tag, especially in September.

A peaceful retreat in the woods

This is an amazing rental home and I almost don't know where to begin. Even driving off the main road and onto the dirt path was part of the process of forgetting all your other stresses and putting you into the vacation mood. The space is huge and accommodating for 8 people. You don't feel like you are on top of each other and everyone can find their own area. The kitchen has everything you need and there are large tables inside and outside for dinners with your party. Bathrooms were neat and the 4 showers available are handy. I would recommend this rental to anyone who needs an escape and recharge the old batteries.
