When Selling Land

Sound practice for marketing lots or large parcels of land requires each owner to evaluate and implement certain preliminary steps to prepare the land for sale. Frequently overlooked is the importance of making a property presentable for prospective buyers to view and walk conveniently.

Overgrown vegetation, brambles, poison ivy, wild shrubs, and vines often make a piece of land virtually inaccessible. Brushing the lot and limbing trees to eye level serve to create a pleasant, park-like appearance, thereby increasing marketability.

An accurate plot plan of the land, plus the additional location and identification of corner bounds and other pertinent boundary lines are, nowadays, almost mandatory.
